Welding Technician Program

Welding Technician Program: MIG, TIG & Stick Welding
Approved as a vocational program under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.
Terminal Objective:

To produce quality welds on sheet metal and structural steel using the G.M.A.W. (Mig), F.C.A.W. (Flux-Core), S.M.A.W. (Stick), and G.T.A.W. (Tig) welding processes with correct dimensions according to base metal thickness.

To produce welds of consistently good quality to pass visual inspection, destructive or non-destructive examination as required by standards and codes established by the following welding regulatory authorities Canadian Welding Bureau and American Welding Society. Enabling trainees to gain entry level employment in the welding industry. Weldtech will assist trainees in job searches and placements.

All Modules will be 80% Practical and 20% Theory

Course Evaluation:
Written Theory Test and Practical assignments. Weldtech Certificate is awarded to those trainees who pass with 70% or over.

GMAW (Mig)

GMAW Welding Program
Terminal Objective:

To produce high-quality work on stainless steel and aluminum. This is the best GMAW Mig Welding Training in Ontario program. The GMAW welding course will introduce techniques and theory-based knowledge around the GMAW welding process. At the end of the GMAW welding course, you can expect to have skills in GMAW processes in various positions. You will also know how to operate Oxy-fuel and Plasma cutting equipment on various alloys.

GTAW (Tig)

GTAW Welding Program
Terminal Objective:

This GTAW Tig welding training will provide the necessary skills to handle Aluminum, Stainless Pipe, and tool and die welding. Expect GTAW welding certification and extensive practical and theoretical knowledge about how to manage mild steel safely and efficiently, as well as knowledge about GTAW (Tig) welding techniques in all positions. For GTAW welding training in Ontario, this is the GTAW welding certification program to beat.

SMAW (Stick)

SMAW Welding Program
Terminal Objective:

Expectation of SMAW Stick welding certification with knowledge of the SMAW Stick process in various positions. Will know proper operating procedures for carbon arc gouging. Should be able to produce pressure vessel pipes, b-pressure pipes, and maintenance welding, including electrode selection and weld faults.

What an amazing place to learn the processes of welding connected with theory behind it. I was fortunate enough to have two amazing teachers throughout an 8 month period, Phil and Evan. Throughout the 8 months I gained an incredible amount of knowledge that I then brought to the current workplace. The welders were stunned to see how well I could weld knowing I just came out of school. Im addition, blueprint reading is a big deal with my current employer and they were very happy to see I knew all the weld symbols and could layout the material as printed (thanks to my weldtech training on blueprints).
